The Common Breath Foundation was unveiled in 2006 in order to support two areas that have been very influential in my professional and personal life. Below you will find more information that I hope helps you decide to support this cause.
First let's talk about the foundation itself. As you might be aware, it is important that each donation is maximized to the actual beneficiary and not spent on overbearing expenses and salaries. Because of the high cost and demanding resources it takes to manage and monitor a foundation properly, I decided to partner with the Minnesota Medical Foundation at the University of Minnesota. Under their guidance and services, we created two funds, Common Breathe Fund for the Defense of the Lung and Common Breath Fund for Physical Development, in which all monies received, will be allocated.
Here is some information on those funds and the University:
- The University of Minnesota is home to national and international leaders in lung disease research and care.
- The Common Breath Fund for the Defense of the Lung (F-1357) recognizes the critical impact that Warren Warwick, M.D., has had in the lives of patients with cystic fibrosis and his determination to improve both the quality and length of their lives.
- The Common Breath Fund for Physical Development (F-1358) recognizes the contributions of James R. Carey, Ph.D., P.T., and his commitment to improving rehabilitation treatment and patient outcomes through physical therapy.

Next, I would like to introduce Good To GoTM Fundraising and the important relationship it has with the Common Breath Funds.
In 2010 Good To GoTM Fundraising.com was formed www.gtgfr.com to help those in need of financial aid. I realized during my tenure at RespirTech www.respirtech.com , a medical company that I founded in 2004, that numerous patients with respiratory complications could NOT afford nor did they have insurance to cover The inCourageTM System that we provided.
